The kids are also up by now. Tin Tin's youngest daughter, seen here on the right, was born in a nearby hospital,  but her sister was born beneath the rubber trees because Tin Tin did not have registration papers back then. When Tin Tin's wife was seven months pregnant, the family had no money for bribes and she was forced to run into the mountains to hide from the police.<br />

Like migrant communities all over the world, the Burmese in Thailand are often reviled by their hosts. as lazy, dirty and dishonest. The truth, as always, is completely different.
